hair that covers the ears is driving me crazy

I've got hair fitted to G2M that is Ancient Combat hair and when I place it on my morphed figure, the hair follows the pointy ears. I have tried going to the morphed ears and taking out the check mark for auto follow for the 2 ear morphs I used but the hair is still on the backs of the ears.

I have gone to the hair item itself and cleared out the morphs to it and that isn't working.

I've posted a message like this before and the above items were recommended to me and I've tried but doesn't work.

Am I stuck with fuzzy hair covered ears that I need to postwork out or is there a fix out there for this nuisance?

Thanks.

Haven't tried this but isn't it to not clear out the morphs, but to make a non-morph change and name it exactly the same so when said morph is called for with the figure, none is dialed into the hair.

You did the right thing, you have to locate the morph in the hair and dial it to 0%. I do not have the ancient combat hair, but I tried this with Elven hair on G2M and it worked. Left image shows G2M with Fae Ears at 100%, and as you can see the hair has followed his ears. Right image shows what it looked like after I clicked on the Elven Hair and dialed the greyed out Fae Ears morph to 0%.

Thanks, that's what I was talking about. I read "cleared out the morphs to it" to mean deleted and I know something has to be there to say "0".

Where do I find the morphs for the ears in the hair item?

Edit: I've found it....I found this link: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/4201/ and it took me a while to locate the little tiny rectangle with lines....it was well hidden but in plain sight if you know what I mean. On my screen it just looks like a symbol in a location that just appears to be a graphic/symbol and nothing more, click on it and it opens a list of stuff.

    Yes I'm new to Studio...

Now this is a round about way to fix something like this. What causes it? A glitch in Studio in how it transforms the hair? Or the merchant slacking off a bit and cutting some corners on their product? Or something else? Either way, it certainly is a long drawn out technical procedure to fix it.

Try, in the Parameters tab, clicking on the options (drop down menu that looks like a piece of lined paper) and select Show Hidden. Then make sure the hair is the selected item, then select 'Currently Used'.

No, it's not a glitch. It's the way Studio makes clothes follow morphs in the body and hair follow shaping morphs on the head. Say, you have Genesis 2 female loaded and you put a pair of jeans on her. All okay, it all fits. Now make her butt larger by using a morph on her body. The jeans get larger too. Studio has added the morph you just dialed on the body to the jeans and set it to match (and hid it).

With Vicky 4 and earlier, if you set a morph on the body and the clothes didn't come already supplied with the same morph you were out of luck and got skin poking through everywhere.

There are actually very few times when this life-saving new method gets in the way. Big elf ears are one of those times.
