Why is this happening? (Poser preview issue)

So...not sure why this is happening.
PoserPro2014.
I bought a new computer and just now installed Poser on it.
Now, here is what it should look like, the first image.
But the second is what I have.
Everything's really shiny and washed out...? And really bright? It makes light editing really hard.
It's set to openGL like it was before but am I missing something here?
Is there a setting I've forgotten to reset?
Because everything's back to factory poser settings now unlike how I had it set up in my other comp and for some reason that one keeps giving me an error on Poser so I can't exactly look.
edit:
For the record, if this is the problem..
My graphics card is lower than my last.
I had a Radeon HD 7520G
but this one is just Radeon R4.
I bought a new laptop because it turns out the one I recieved was wrong and they weren't able to exchange it for the one I ordered but someone is going to buy this one from me, so I bought one with a 7640G (or a 8650G, it's unclear)
Will it look proper on the new one?

Bit hard to compare two different shots
is it just Poser or any software if latter it could be your monitor callibration
you can try checking preferences if you still have both laptops with Poser but not at once as it phones home to see if running second copy and disables it AFAIK
there is an xml file somewhere that records the preferences too
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Poser Pro one of these
One is an indoor scene and the other is an open scene. The lights are going to look very different. Try putting the figure in teh room like the first image and see if it still does it.
It also looks like there are different shaders/textures used on the two different characters. The top looks like a base shader, and the bottom looks like it might have a little more in it. The bottom one will probably render better. Sometimes the way a shader is set up will give a really weird preview in Poser or Daz, but will render really nicely.
Gamma correction?
Can you give a screen shot of the render settings for both?
No settings for preview unfortunately.
I don't know why but I keep getting an error with the other Poser.
But here's the preview settings and render settings.
And the last one
And a pic of what's different about my stuff.
Base pic of V4 with no skin other than her base skin.
As you can see, the eyes preview differently, too.
Prolly SmithMicro disabled the other instance if you had both open online
It may be your preferences for the default scene too
light positions, IBL,
Do you have a specular-only light? If so, disable it in the preview.

For render setting, check box of Smooth Polygons on Option panel, too.
It seems to be looking for something, but I don't know what.
It asks me to find something and when I press cancel it gives me the same error over and over again and prompts me to find whatever is missing so I can't click anything else

When it asks you to find something, can you post the message here so we have a better chance of trying to figure out what it's trying to find?
Cheers,
