Baffling Brows

I've got an issue going on with brows, and if any of you know a way I can troubleshoot this, I'd be eternally grateful.

I've always assumed the expected behavior for figures of Gen 8 and 8.1 that brows are easily removable. Sure, each figure may be set up a little differently (brow attachments vs. brows that are stuck on). Well, I purchased a couple of brow assets (in particular https://www.daz3d.com/bodacious-brows-hd and https://www.daz3d.com/beautiful-brows-ii-merchant-resource-for-genesis-8-and-genesis-81-females) and I'd like to start using them more frequently. But I've hit a snag where some brows I can't get rid of. Deleting the brow attachment does nothing. Not only that, but for some figures, they load in the scene with a double brow. So when I delete the attachment, the stuck on brows remain.

This can't be expected behavior, can it? Is that how it's supposed to work? If so, how do I remove brows for a character who comes loaded with brows that seemingly do not have a remove setting for them? Some characters where I'm seeing double brow loading: MSO Maud, Nefeli. I can't tell if this is a Materials/Attachment issue or a Morphs issue or something else entirely.

(Note: I'm running the latest Daz version as of 6-6-22 on a PC, and I use DIM to install. I have some of my files on my external HD and some on my hard drive.)

Present chars use fibermesh brows, but some years ago, all brows were directly painted on the face and removing them requires to modify the texture.

Zev0 has made a tool to remove the brows https://www.daz3d.com/brow-remover-for-daz-studio

I never used it, as it is simple to remove them in gimp or any other image editing software.

Thanks Alain. I had completely forgotten about that tool. Will add to my wishlist and eventually try it. But you reminded me of another issue I'm having that I didn't mention in my original post. On some figures, when I lately try to switch out the original set of brows for a different figure's brows, the eyebrows end up looking weird and nothing like they should. Often they display as way thinner or thicker than the original look. I can't for the life of me figure out why that is happening all of a sudden.
