Soda, whiskey, coffee, milk.

I have a glass.  In my glass is a liquid. There is no ice to worry about.

Using Iray, I can't seem to get a convincing cola.  I'm trying a million settings for volume, glossiness, diffuse, etc.  Seems like it should be easy, but - especially having to wait 3 minutes after every change - it's frustrating the bejeebers out of me.

I'll try to attach some images, but I have to work this week, not spend it all rendering.

Also, didn't there used to be a setting called transparency, or opacity?  Seems to be missing from Iray Uber.  Oh also, don't send me to the liquids pack.  I want to understand the shaders, not cheat my way to some finish line. I also don't understand the glass.  it seems to only reflect in the front, and only transmit in the back.  i.e. I cant see the cola thru the front of the glass, and I cant see the reflection of the cola in the inside of the glass.

You want to turn Refraction up to 1, and set refraction index to 1.33 for the liquid, and 1.55 for the glass.
