Separate Installation

I'm wanting to try my hand at building characters to potentially sell. I was hoping to set up a completely separate DS install, away from my big "art build", so that I can use the separate installation to have only merchant resource morph packs available. That way I could easily make sure I don't include something that is not a merchant resource by mistake. Is there a way to do that? I tried just copying the directory with the .exe over to a new drive and when I opened it, my big library and everything was still there. I want a completely clean copy of DS to install on a separate drive, one that doesn't see any of my other stuff so basically a fresh new baby install...and I will manually install the morph packs I want to use that are merchant resources on that drive. So in the end, I'd have my reguar DS installation that I use for artwork...and then a "character craft" installation that has ONLY merchant resource stuff installed. They would be on completely separate drives. Is this possible?

Yes, my method is to use the content library and by setting up a different library groups, with the content library manager from the tab menu.

copy your default set (Current directories) and save it with a new name

copy it again save as "another new name"  and delete all the unwanted runtimes

    done.

    switch set when needed :)

edit: do not remove the basic paths CMS Cluster Directories and Daz Connect

If you really want a separate DS install you can install the beta version of DS alongside your current version. The settings between beta and general release are separate, though most people setup the beta to use the same content directories and database as the general release.

I already have the beta installed and yes, it is set up to mirror my regular installation.
