How could I make a partial morph, without bindng it to the default zero pose

Hey, could anyone tell me how to make a partial morph, which can be applied without affecting the figure pose??

I 've read the tutorials and managed to make many full body morphs with zbrush and morph loader pro, but applying this pose gives the figure a default zero pose.

Is there anyway I could make morphs(for example, big belly morph) which can be applied without breaking the current figure pose.

Does this do something with the ERC freeze option?

If applying your new saved morph to a posed figure is causing the figure to revert to the default pose, then the morph was either not designed and/or created correctly.

On a base resolution figure IN the default pose - is the figure to have the desired morph designed upon. Go through the steps, then zero and save the morph.

Then pose your figure, dial in the character, and dial in your new morph ... and hopefully it looks good.

IF you design your morph on a posed/character of the base figure ... then THAT is also the figure that the new morph must be returned to in D/S ... with REVERSE DEFORMATIONS turned on. Check the morph, if it's a keeper, then dial out all the morphs and poses [so now the figure is the Genesis* figure in default pose]. File > Save as > .... morph asset your new morph {and only the new morph].

Clear the scene load the figure/character, dial in your newly saved morph and hopefully it looks good.

n.b. With G3 and G8 figures it's normally a good idea to have reverse deformations selected anyways as there are a couple of HD morphs that normally load with these figures.

  • Thanks Catherine, everything worked well now, after trying the "REVERSE DEFORMATION" :)
