Morning all

so i have the above "Liquid Armour for G8F" really like it, and want to use it

But when I apply it to G8f her hands and feet become invisible and are replaced with gloves and boots.

I want to keep her hands, fingers and feet, toes the way they are. Just how how can I make them visible again?

Not had much joy in the surfaces settings

I don't have it, but it lists that you can load the individual parts.

I assume it hides the hands and feet when applied in order to not clip.

But if gone, then you can properly get it back from the scene tab, if you expand the bones on the character, as I assume it has turned off the eye icon on hands and feet.

They use "Auto-Hide Faces for Attachments", which can't be removed, but you can change the behaviour. However, be warned, there is a lot of poke-through on the fingers when you do that. It has been explained in these discussions, the concept is the same:

Hiding shoe on G8 makes the whole foot disappear - Daz 3D Forums

Disabling geometry switching for G8F clothes? - Daz 3D Forums

Switching back to a posing tool isn't quite enough, you have to move something to get the geometry to re-appear.

    Big thanks to all.

I have now sorted what I need and can move forward with my project

I would have to just load the character twice over, and then parent and hide what I didn't need twice for incidents like that. The previous workarounds sound a lot simpler.

Sometimes I over think things and other times I dont think at all.

maybe if I had said in the very begining what the problem I was having with the Liquid Armour gloves was.

Istead of focusing on getting rid of the gloves and restoring the hand of the character.

then maybe someone would have said try this or that, but I didnt. more fool me.

but as they say "so long as you learn from you mistakes"

so after loading TWO female characters, loading the Liquid Armour onto one of them , making the hands of the gloves invisible then the body of the second character invisable

apart from the hands, aplying the same pose to both. I wasnt overly happy with the result

so I went back to the start and loaded ONE character. Then applied the Liquid Armour gloves and looked at what it was I didnt like. It was the very long nails.

but after applying some of the poses tha came with the Liquid Armour, I noticed some thing.

thenails changed length. dime light bulb moment "CHANGE THE SCALE OF THE NAILS"

So after much messing about i am now happy with the result.

Thanks again to all the people who tried to help me and sorry for not saying what it was I wanted in the first place.
