Creating a autofit clothing clone, do I have the Steps correct?

Ok, so After reading/re-reading a tutorial to make a autofit clone to fit the Mil horse "charger" (not sure if this was the tack or the horse) tack onto horse 2, I think I have the basics... just need to confirm before I spend a couple days to find out I had a couple steps backwards.

My Goal: TO be able to Autofit Genesis clothing onto Lycanthropos.

Step 1: Load both a base Genesis and Lycanthropos characters into the scene.
Step 2: Smoosh, squeeze, deform, bend and mash Lycanthropos into the genesis shape, matching as many key points as possible.
Step 3: Export the Now mangled Lycanthropos as a .obj file.
Step 4: Import the .obj file as a morph using the morph loader.
Step 5: select the morph in the parameters tab, click the gear in the morph and choose parameter settings: then select the morph type: modifier / clone.

Is this basically it? If so, How do I find the clones to make sure The correct one is selected? Due to several initial errors when trying this the other day, I did a quick test to make sure I was on the right path. The initial test fit made looked like it did something, but several additional and more complicated versions didn't seem to do anything different than the first test, so I'm not sure if my 2nd test was even being used or just the first one. I also want to know where to find it to be able to remove it should I need to.

Thanks.

This won't work as Lycanthropos i not a weight-mapped figure but a legacy-rigged figure and AutoFit doesn't support those as destinations, only as sources.

Would it not be possible to convert it to weight mapped first?

Convert to weight-mapped and save as asset might work, yes - it would depend on how effective the conversion was. But then there'd be clean up with other content too.

Assuming you are correct, and said method won't work with Lycanthropos, My initial 2 questions still remain. Is said method about what is described in this thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/12955/ , and as that thread is about 2 1/2 years old, has something changed?

And second, where can I find said morph/clones, as after I make them, they disappear from view. I know it made them, but I can't test them If I can't find them to remove them.

After making a "morph" [or anything else in D/S], one has to "save it" in order for it to be available for use in another session, or on a freshly loaded figure.

The Charger and the MilHorse are both legacy rigged figures. They are not weight mapped.

Yes, I know that, however when you save it to a "clone" property, it becomes "Hidden" and I'm trying to find where it is hidden.

However, in that thread, on page 2, there is a minor discussion on using this technique on several other Legacy humanoids to convert them to Genesis, and at that time the answer was yes. And since Richard was part of that thread during that conversation, I would have though he would have said it wasn't possible at that time, leading me to believe it was/is.

You can create a clone to autofit FROM a legacy-rigged figure TO a triax one, but you can't do it in the opposite direction.

Well some don't know that and as you didn't say figure I'd mention it ... and also for anybody else reading this.

For the hidden things I have found they were on the Parameters Tab ... somewhere there used to be an option to "show hidden". I have not yet checked for this feature in the new release.
