iRay shader request
Since the 4.8 release with its iRay feature, DS became much more useful to me. Great, that some iRay shaders come with it, but I'm craving for morrrrrre. ;)
So, right now, I'm in need for several shader types and hoping, they'll will be in the shop soon.
- iRay plant shaders - especialy leafs, flowers and all sorts of grass would be great.
- volumetric lights. How to do a scene with lot's of haze in the athmosphere? I built a sphere around my lightsource, and tried to create a shader, that looks like a light halo. Maybe someone can make a better halo.
- all kinds of fabric for clothes. Someone did leather allready.
What about having a seperate iRay shader resource segment in the shop? Would be much easier to find stuff, I think.
Man playing with iRay is sooo cool :)

For your athmosphere problem:

That works really great, i.e. if you combine boxes with different density. :-)
PA's are working on getting shaders into the store as fast as possible. It takes time to do it all though.
Do you mean a shader that can be applied to them to make them look more realistic? Something that adds more translucence so the light goes through them perhaps?

Yes exactly :)
I'm just not sure that plants could use an all in one shader. The texture map would need to be moved into the translucence color channel and idealy there should be something in the strength slot that would lower the translucence where the veins are.
For close ups you could do it manually...and for long shots, it's just not going to add enough of an effect to be worth the extra time doing all those translucence calculations.
1-Some vendors of plants could offer an iRAY update of their products.
2-Does an iRAY shader realy delete all pregiven textures? The human skin iRAY shader, that comes with 4.8 doesn't do that either. It keeps the original textures. So something like that should be possible for plants also.
