G8 characters have become gray blocks and I don't understand how to fix it.

Hi. I almost answered before but you asked twice. I don't know the specific answer but I do know two things: 1) I've seen this before, and its cause depends on a lot of things. Sometimes it's an error with files getting lost and needing to be reinstalled, sometimes it's just a user setting. I thought it might be the Draw Style choice of Filament that you have selected (in the upper right corner next to the Perspective View selection if you didn't know that) but that's not it. And 2) yes, someone here will know how to fix it. Be patient  :)

That happens when Daz isn't finding your content. Check in Content Library to see if the library where you have installed everything is linked (under DAZ Studio Formats). If it's not there, then you'll need to re-link your library. So:

1. Right-click on DAZ Studio Formats > Add Base Directory
2. Browse to where you have your content and hit select content.
3. Re-start DAZ Studio.

The product does not appear to be correctly installed - did you not get a missing file alert on loading? How did you install? Does other content installed in the same way work?

It is usually missing data files.

Try to look in the log Help > Troubleshooting > View log, and look for errors. Or maybe try to attach the part of the log that loads the character, so others can have a look.
