Creating Morphs with ZBrush: Scaling Problem

Hi all,

I use ZBrush to create Morphs (with GOZ or OBJ - Export/Import - depending on the Situation).
The Workflow is very comfortable, if you've sometime learned to deal with ZBrush halfway ;-)

But one thing is very annoying:
Sometimes it would be great to use higher Subdivision-Levels for Sculpting in ZBrush. But when I reimport the Changes into DAZ, the entire Character scales a little bit. It's hardly noticable but the changes adds up. And the Scaling isn't uniformly. For example, the eys pressed inwards, ...
I worked for hours on a Fullbody-Morph until I've noticed that all the work was basically for nothing :ahhh:
I used 3 Subdivision Levels (which corresponds approximately to 1.5 Mill. Polygons). Of course, I set back the Level, before I'm going to export the changes to DAZ.

Can anyone tell me, whats going wrong and whats up with the Export Settings in ZBrush. I don't understand them.
If I'm using GOZ, the Parameters are even Numbers. If I use *.obj Files, they becomes odd and strange. But the effect is always the same. Seen mathematically, that couldn't be, or ... ???

I add a picture, so the problem is easier to understand.

The left side shows the Original-Character, the right side after imported the Morph, made with ZBrush. I had NOT changed anything in the Face. See yourself whats going on...

Look at the mouth. The Lips becomes smaller, so you can see the Teeth. The Teeth becoms smaller too. The Eyeballs, etc.
But - as I said - Only if using Subdivision Levels in ZBrush!

Smoothing in ZBrush changes the shape of the model even when the resolution is dialled back to base - it's especially noticeable with the fingers and teeth. This is a limitation of ZBrush - if you are making a morph don't subdivide, or turn SMT off before dividing.

Yeah! You are the Man !

With the SMT Option it works perfectly!
And it's not necessary to smooth. The Smoothing get in any case lost when I export the Model back to DAZ.
But more Polygons are helpfully for sculping.

    Thank you very much :-)

    Hey peter.pernhofer,

When you say "With the SMT Option it works perfectly!" did you make sure it was off and it works perfectly or you are using still using it? I just posted this very issue today so I guess I missed this post from only 2 days ago!

    Thanks
