I wanted to use the following wonderful free model :
http://www.sharecg.com/v/64864/browse/11/Poser/Godzilla-FW-X-treme
but as many of you already know, the author used the materials room in poser to create the classic "skin" of this famous creature and DAZ studio users are out of luck.

I am guessing that this could be done in the shader mixer (?) but don't know even where to start.
would anyone be willing to point me at a tutorial for a novice and maybe even suggest how they may tackle this kind of a shader?

(if i have a shader I am guessing i could even apply it to

If it is procedural texture, you can not apply other product texture made for each UV map.
(or you need to tweak all texture ,for tilling)

and yes shader mixer offer procedural texture blicks, then you can use it.
but without check each procedural texture of the GOZIRA and understand how mixed in poser shader ,
you can not re-make them in shader mixer,, I think,,,

(though I do not have poser , simply think as same as blender procerdural texture, cycles nodes,,)

    anyway, to start, I recommend
    zigraphix shader mixer tutoriall
    http://www.daz3d.com/shader-mixer-tutorial-i

    and carnite you tube tutoriall
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoGKFLJ6Vgs
(you may check other tutoriall about shader mixer)

then official thread ,,(here sticky topic!!)
