Will two RTX 3060 12GB cards render the 14GB scene?

(Will two RTX 3060 12GB cards render the 14GB scene?) Or will it simply show a black screen? Which is what I usually get when I utilize more than my single card can manage.

No, you need a GPU with 24GB's of VRAM as even 16GB's is not enough due to the 3GB baseload.

Or you could try optimizing the scene to make it fit your 3060

This is why I tell people to always go with the more memory over the faster GPU if their main goal is Daz IRAY Rendering.

One big and easy way to crunch your scene down is to set the Texture Compressin Thresholds lower in Render Setings -> Advance Tab

Hello and thank you for your response. Which other card in the 3060 price range would you prefer?

Where to find, how much memory is needed?

Un fortunately, there is no way to tell for sure.

You can estimate, based on the amount of geometry (including the subD level), and the amount, size and color-depth of all the image textures.

Furthermore, Nvidia has removed that information from Iray, so you cannot either see it in the logs.

You can use an extarnal tool, like gpu-z, to monitor your VRAM usage, but you are not able to see if it cannot be contained in your current VRAM.
