Changing Path names for loading content into Daz Studio form the Content Library

...running into an issue where I keep getting a "Cannot Find File" error for some textures even though everything is supposedly in the right folders.
The dialogue gives a path of
Apparently something seems to be hard coded to force Daz to look in that particular location rather than the location where the textures actually are.
How can I fix this so it looks in where everything else is so every time I use this I don;t get the same error popping up?

You can edit DUF files in a simple text editor, if that is what the file is. If it is a Poser file, they are text format also.
If it is something that you bought from the store here it would need to be reported, but if it is a freebie for example, that can sometimes happen.
What format of file is it?
You may need to uncompress the file before you can edit it - 7Zip will do that, or DS (and I think Poser) have tools for uncompressing their own files.
I haven't seen much stuff with absolute paths in fairly recent content...but yes it was a problem in older stuff. And textures are one of the most common areas where it occurs...I've lost count of the number of pz2, cr2, pp2 and so on I've edited to fix those paths.
...not clear on what "uncompressing" means in this context. I thought that is what the extraction process does.
Is it in DUF format, if so, as Richard says it may be compressed. If it is, you can open it with 7ZIP or WinZip or WinRAR or other compression software. DUF files may still be contained inside a ZIP file, but they may also be compressed.
Try opening it in a text editor, if it is illegible, then try uncompressing it.
...no, it's a very old one. (2007) so it's in .daz format
I don't believe that there is anything that you can do with .DAZ files, as they are in binary format I think.
If you can load the item, then apply the textures yourself from where they are using the Surfaces pane, then you can save it out as a Scene or Scene Subset and load it from there in the future.
....no way to strip out that directory command then? Bugger.
