Yeah trying to get caught up.  For some reason the bots to this thread went on strike a year ago.  Just saw that little reminder pop up in the corner while on another thread.

I cancelled all the email bots.  I just add a thread to My Bookmarks and check that page every now and then.  Keeps some of the clutter out of the inbox!

...ahh finally.  Lots and lots of great images here.  Very inspiring however my "garage" is sort of lean as I don't have the utilities or modelling skill to pull from formats that Daz does not natively import.

Also went back to 3DL as in CPU mode, Iray is just too glacially slow on my system so not sure anything I submit will have the "pop" as many of the other works I see here have.

I picked this up years ago...it's still in the store.  It's originally for Bryce, but there is a textured obj as well: https://www.daz3d.com/nimos-transit-bus

Folder?  You misunderstand.  At the top of the forum, click on the hollow star.  it will be added to My Bookmarks, which is in the menu on the main gears at top right of the forum.  Click on My Bookmarks and a list of all your bookmarked threads come up.  Those that have new posts will be easy to spot.  Clicking on the thread's title will bring you right to the first unread post, usually.  No need for emails anymore.  And no worries about not getting those emails.

...I was referring to my email service. I set up folders (essentially alternate inboxes) to route emails to by category through global labels so my main inbox isn't swamped every morning. I have one for Daz, one for Renderosity, one for online billing emails and statements, etc

Thanks.. good moldes opf vintage biks are hard to find.. I just had a harder look at the Vintage Motorcycle by Anisko, and found even more stuff that makes me shake my head.. I suppose its worse for me having owned a 37 ULH ex police bike back in the day... Still... stick a sidecar on it and it gets better..

The GM Fishbowl I have is from http://www.gta-classics.net/, I have a plugin in Blender that allows me to open the dff files, and I use TXD Workshop to open the textures, all of these are free.

...I have little to no modelling or texturing skill and Blender's UI just doesn't click with me, otherwise I'd be posting a lot of cool old stuff here.  There are a lot of nice free vehicles around but most are either .3ds (which again need conversion in other software) or .max which are proprietary. For example Birdman has a lot of great classics on ShareCG but all are .3ds and/or .vob format.

    ...nice E-type.

Test drove the open roadster variant with the V-12 back in the 70s that someone traded in (the great "petrol crisis" was just underway).  Decent shape, great handling, got the price down to 4,000$ flat (which I could sort of afford at the time), but not the greatest mileage (though it didn't do too bad on the open highway) and no luggage space to speak of for the trips between college and home.  There was this great "cutoff" highway between Amherst and Oshkosh that was 45 miles of brand new blacktop with nicely banked turns.  We took it out on a stretch of that road and it was like a dream.

Mum would have a raised a fit though had I shown up in that instead of something more "practical". So I got the AMC Ambassador instead.

Be glad the E type would have ate you alive with maintenance especiallt alignments. When I was a tech we sent these out as we didn't have everything required to do a correct and proper alignment on them. The person that we sent them to told me he loved it when we sent him one as it would take almost an entire day for the alignment but he could afford to take the next two days off because of it

For some reason, it reminds me of a Rambler.  Ferocious?  Was it called that because of the weird angle of the rear windshield?  I'm guessing it was a European only issue?

Ferocius was a nickname given to it for its distict lack of perfrmance.. :)  (as in - Oooh Aye, that's proper ferocious innit, mate?)

GAZ, that one? The Russians had some interesting cars. I'd still love a Lada Niva for the winter (or  Land Rover Defender)... MY Lada was like this one... I think I have a Niva model floating around..
