It should always be possible to find it in the Content Library under products. But that will be for the specific product.

It should also be in Content Library under Environments

Whether it is in Smart Content I doubt.

Where are you finding the one from Rendo?

If you look at the product readme http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/4631/start you have the file list and it is possible to see that this product has DS and poser installs. Are you sure that you installed the poser version. If you installed the DS version, it should be in Environents>Architecture>Manor House

this set only has poser files

Probaly you downloaded the PS version. I do not have it, but the readme clearly states that both DS and PS versions exist.

According to the readme, the poser file should be in the-poser-runtime-where-you-installed-it>figures>M_House, with a chair in ...>props>M_House

Normally, I would have disagreed with that statement, because there are, in fact, separate Poser and Studio files, but something has gone astray with the package names. The two packages have a conflict that resutls in only one being available for use. In the case of multiple packages for a single product, each part gets a different package part identifier (or something like that) after the initial IM000xxxxx in the form of -01, -02, etc. It doesn't matter which part is which, as long as they are different. In this case, somewhere in the last five or six years since I last downloaded the files, they now have the same part (-01) so, when DIM is scanning, one of them gets deleted. (I just downloaded the two manually, and you can actually see on your Product Library page that the two files have the -01). Short term, delete the one you have and download the DS version only. This will need a ticket to be resolved properly.

I downloaded and dragged into mydaz3dlibrary but its not showing in IM or in the library

I tried to merge it by unzipping to desktop but there is no daz file to open

Uninstall and delete the Poser version from the Package Archive. You need to refresh DIM, which should show the two versions as ready to download, but maybe with the conflict, it won't show. If not, download manually and move it to the Package Archive. Refresh DIM and it should show up, unless the online info overrides it. In my system, the DS version is numbered -02. Change yours to match and refresh DIM again, and it should show up this time.

They have different names in the product Library page for me - one ends Ds, the other Ps. DIM takes too long to boot for me to check it directly, but I have two files (plus matching .dsx files) in the downloads folder.

Yes, I have two also (from 2016), but the DS version seems to have been renamed at some point with the -01. I know that if the part identifier is the same, one gets deleted by DIM, regardless if the name part is different (ProductNameDS vs. ProductNamePs).

Package Archive (aka download folder). Refesh DIM. If DIM deletes it again, or insists on the Poser version because of the conflict, copy it again, and go Offline. Rename it to IM00004631-02_Manor HouseDS.zip. Refresh DIM again.

    oh ,

Manor House still isnt showing up, is there any thing else I can try

    thanks

  • NorthOf45NorthOf45 Posts: 5,485

Did you rename it IM00004631-02_Manor HouseDS.zip? Did you take DIM offline? Did you refresh DIM again?

  • VicSVicS Posts: 1,273

I overlooked the renaming part, I also have to manually install in correct location whih I dont think I was doing ,

Ill post if it still didnt work after I did,

    thanks

It should install to the correct Studio format location with DIM. No point getting it to work in DIM if you are going to install it manually anyway. You are just making things more difficult for yourself.
