Seriously, this is glorious! These coupons have helped me knock off some of the more pricier items from my Wishlist (which is well over 500 items and building)! PLEASE, DAZ, make this an on-going thing! :cheese:

Yep. I love it. It's a great coupon that keeps getting me to spend more than I planned.
Thanks, DAZ. I really appreciate the coupon.

I agree. Giving us a choice as to what is in the bundle is tremendous. Keep this one going!

What bothers me about the Punch Sale is the condition 'All Items purchased that earn punches and all items purchased with earned punch discount are ineligible for return and are final sale.' I'm not one bit interested in taking part as the whole thing is far too convoluted for me and makes the assumption that I'll either buy something and then find four more punchable things I want to buy before the first punch expires (no guarantee of this), or buy a bunch of things I don't want just to qualify for a discount on something else (not going to happen).

Yet if I was to buy just one of the qualifying releases, I'll have earned myself a punch on it whether I like it or not. Nowhere beyond the promotion page (the store front, search pages, actual product page etc) will it have indicated that I have no right to return that particular product - a right that would presumably be in force again once the sale that I've decided I'm not participating in anyway is over.

I loved the 'Build Your Own Flash Sale' too and participated both times. I hope the fact that there was a second time means Daz saw from their sales figures the first time that it was worth doing again, and so there'll be more of the same. 'Buy three discounted things now that you know you want' is an attractive offer. 'Buy an item you can't return to get a discount on something you might not want, which you can only get if you commit to buying other stuff you might not want' isn't nearly as appealing, and only serves to stop me hitting the 'Buy' button until the item is no longer part of the sale. By which time I'll probably have lost interest in it anyway.

Well said. I had my own say in the other thread:

    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/57681/#839047

But, even then, I hadn't been aware of the "ineligible for return" small print.

The 'ineligible for return' print is indeed small, but I suppose we can at least read it. Unlike the 'duration of sale' print, which at the moment is totally invisible. I've just read the other thread and apparently the sale will run for a month (It's not a sale in my view - it's an incentive scheme with conditions, that you're roped into by default whether you like it or not). I imagined that as it showed up mid-month and on a Monday, it would run for a week, and since Daz didn't bother to give an end date on the promo page I expect a lot of people will imagine the same. It's true - Daz really are doing their bit to encourage an artist's imagination to run wild, :)

Yeah, there's no way in hell DAZ is getting me to participate in that, especially if I can't return what I buy. I never really cared for the punch sales, to begin with...

The Build your own Flashsales are great, I was finally able to pick up a number of items off my wishlist that seemed not to want to go on sale otherwise.

    To the Daz Sales/Marketing team:

Simple Straight forward sales = Good.

Convoluted, Every other Tuesday, if the moon is full, chanting supercalifragilistexpealodoious 5 times backwards while standing on your head to activate a $5.00 coupon or buy $25.00 worth of stuff from a narrow list of often unwanted items, to save 10% = Bad

You Need to pay your bills too, so not every sale needs or can be a "give me all of the best stuff for almost nothing right now" Sale, but A sale should entice me into spending money, not give me a headache trying to figure out how to use it.

Remember K.I.S.S is still a really good rule.

Wasn't able to participate in the latest, but I will be looking for more of the BYOB sales. Bought some items I never expected to buy. And that is what Daz needs to keep doing.

I don't get the punch sale. I've always ended up paying more on the punch sale than if I'd waited for a different sale or used PC+ coupons or just not bought the item in the first place (I buy a lot of items just cuz I like em). Every time I've tried to accumulate punches (twice), they were removed the next day. Screw that.

I don't understand them. Don't like em. I stay away from it like the plague.

5 items for 5% discount? It must work cuz they keep bringing it back. I just don't get it. Am I missing something? And 25% off after 25 items? What do you have left to buy that you haven't already got?

BYOFS was awesome because you could use it on non-PC items. Some non-PC items almost never go on sale.
