Today's releases don't show up in punch-granting list. [Fixed]

Greetings,
Just a note; the items released today don't show up in the list, and (I believe, based on my purchase) don't show up in the punch points either.

Also, when do punch points reset/clear?

End of the week, or end of the month?

Was this reported to the Powers That Be?
I guess we'll have to wait until someone in DAZ-Land wakes up and comes to the office to learn the answer to these questions. ;-)

Oh the dreaded punch is back. Why, oh why do they need to invent such convoluted schemes? It isn't as though it is worth the effort - if I understand it correctly, I would have to buy 5 (FIVE) new releases to earn a measly 5% discount on a 6th new release. Does anyone really think I'm going to do that?

Fast Grab - great idea. I've picked up some items I would never have bought at full price.

Flash Sales - great idea (if they last long enough to appear in my time zone when I'm not asleep). As above, helps me get things I couldn't otherwise justify on my limited budget.

Punch sales - nah. Not worth the calculation effort.

The promotion will run for a month, and you will be able to accumulate points all through the month (the count won't reset each week) so there's a fair chance of getting enough to earn and use some discounts even if you buy moderately.

    Thanks for this. :-)
However, it would be great if that information would be added to the sales page. This is vital intormation, after all.
Also, I take it that the option to contact Sales Support about being able to bow out of the sale (to obtain the right to return things you bought) still exists?

We've asked for clarification on which items count, and on how long they earn punches/whether there's an opt-out option.

"Moderately" is something of a subjective term, Richard. Moderately for me means two or three sale items in a month. I rarely buy at full price because I can't afford those prices. So I wait for sales which would automatically disqualify the purchase for punch points anyway.

Clarification would be sensible. As things are currently worded plus your information above, DAZ has just ensured that there is no way I will buy a new item from them for the next month.

"All Items purchased that earn punches and all items purchased with earned punch discount are ineligible for return and are final sale."

Yes, items that are "new" - that is, no more than 60 days since release at the time of purchase - earn a punch during the run of the promotion. You can opt out of the sale entirely by filing a support ticket asking that your account can be set to disregard it (but you can't opt out and then back in, or opt out part way through - it has to be for the whole promotion).

Thanks, Richard. Duly requested the opt out from Sales Support.

So they earn a punch for the whole month? No way to get out of it by just waiting a few days till they're not "punch-worthy" this time?

    Greetings,
That's awesome! I heartily approve of a more open-ended sale; I always felt the punches resetting on weekends (and only being good for two days) had a poor effect on items launched at the beginning of the week (low sales) and on the end of the week (maxed out punch discounts).

I just wish I'd known it was coming, I would have held off on a few purchases I was going to make anyhow, for the extra few days... :)

Yeah, I fell into that trap, too. I find it funny how DAZ usually tries to force people to make early purchases ('only today', 'only a short time' 'buy now'), only to punish early buyers at the next opportunity.

Maybe in addition to not understanding how words work, their marketing team is also schizophrenic.

No, you have to opt-out entirely to avoid the punches.

So this means all items with the NEW green sticker qualify for a punch even if they were released 30 days ago or today, as long as they arewithin the 60 days?

I couldn't agree with you more. I seldom buy Punch Sale items because they usually don't appeal to me. Today was a SUPER RARE EVENT -- I actually bought two new releases (Ryder and Murder She Posed). I have been a Daz customer since March 2001 (HOLY COW! Has it really been that long?) and I can't recall the last time I bought more than a few new releases in a year, let a lone in a single month.

This punch system seems really convoluted.

I'm not getting a discount on the leather bodysuit: http://www.daz3d.com/leather-body-suit

It shows 13.97 and remains that price in the cart.

Same for me. I should have a 5% discount, if I'm not mistaken. :|

Edit: Finally got that 5% discount
