Hope This is an Easy Question About Content Installation
Hi, all. Okay, so I've just gotten a new computer, so I had to move all my Daz stuff over. DIM install went fine (I really don't like Daz Central) and Daz Studio install went fine. I directed Daz to find all my content in the external drive where I keep it, and let DIM know to install content to that drive, as well. All the content is showing up in Smart Content and the Content Library, but all of it is grayed-out. Obviously I don't want to have to go back to DIM and re-install 8500 or so items of content, so I'm asking if there's another way. I almost want to say that I remember someone suggesting something like reloading the metadata or...something. Is there an easy method, or am I looking at a very long content re-installation? Thanks for any advice and/or wisdom!

What does your Content Directory Manager window look like? Especially the DAZ Studio Formats branch.
Here's what it looks like, and F:/My DAZ 3D Library is where all my content resides (and where I pointed both Daz and DIM).
Reset database and re-import metadata/
That sounds very familiar. I'm a-gonna try it!
Just to be clear, though... I do this in the Content DB Maintenance, yes? And do I do it in that order? Reset database first and then re-import the metadata?
I was chicken about resetting the database, but I re-imported the metadata, and that seems to have "installed" nearly everything. I'm going back to install the small handful of content items that didn't take when I did it, but it looks like this was the ideal solution. Thanks, guys.
