Anyone Having Trouble With DAZ Studio?

Anyone having trouble with DAZ Studio? It's been crashing frequently and knocking out my GeForce driver. I've had to reintall it several times for about the past five days. This happens only when I'm in DAZ Studio. Every other program I have on this computer works fine. Oddly, my sister is having the same problem on her computer a well. DAZ Studio just freezes and I can't even Ctrll-Alt-Del. The entire computer freezes up and the only choice I have is to push the button and shut it off, then reboot. When I start DAZ Studio back up, I get an error message that my openGL is the wrong version and I need to upgrade it. I've had to reinstall my GeForce driver probably three or four times now, and it keeps happening. At first I thought it was something about the Windows 10 update that installed itself on my computer about a week ago, so I tried to restore my system to an earlier date. It seemed to work, but then DAZ Studio crashed on me again and gave me the same error message about openGL being the wrong version.

Has anyone else seen this happen? I install the Studio version of NVIDIA GeForce, as I always do, but there seems to be a gremlin in my computer. It worked perfectly up until about five days ago. Then it suddenly decided to misbehave. Anyone got any ideas what might be happening here?

BTW, I have DAZ Studio 4.15 installed.

..so far no issues with the latest version of 4.20 yet but like yourself I still have 4.15 installed just in case.

Because I heard of some issues with 4.20 when it was first released, I've been reluctant to upgrade. I wonder if 4.15 is starting to fail. DAZ Studio is the only thing on my computer that's crashing it like this. Nothing else is doing it.

Okay, I thought it might be going back to normal again, but it's giving me the Blue Screen of Death and it shuts down my computer and restarts it. It's wasn't doing this before about a week ago. And why is it also doing it to my sister's computer, as well? We have gremlins!

This could be a hardware problem. With 2 computers doing it, it's unlikely a hardware issue. So what else is there? Virus, malware, or something else? Try resetting to an early date with a restore point before this has happened.

Windows update and/or some driver update would also manifest itself on multiple computers at the same time

I recently had an update when I turned on my Win10 computers to use Daz Studio and found not only a Windows update but an Nvidia update for the driver. But Daz Studio and DIM has been stable on both computers.

Now on my MacBookPro M1, DIM loves to crash if I allow a selection of items to download and install at once, rather than one at a time. And then it causes my external 8 TB HD to crash and it takes a day to recover it. It totally destroyed a 5TB HD already.

It's just DAZ Studio that we're having problelms with. Everything else works perfectly. Both my sister and I have been working in DAZ Studio on our individual computers for years and this has  never happened until only about a week ago. All other programs on my computer work flawlessly, and the same with my sister's computer. So, it's something to do with DAZ Studio. It's not hardware. It's something about DAZ Studio, because that's the only software that does this on our computers. A mystery!

That's interesting, because this has never happened to us in the past. It only started a week ago.

I never install more than one item at a time. When this first happened, I restrored to an earlier date, hoping that it was the Windows update that went in a few days ago, but it didn't seem to help. Ccmputers! You cant't live with them and you can't live without them. Sigh!
