...unfortunately along with that portfolio, background, training, and experience in the high end pro software like 3DS MAX, Lightwave, etc, is a pretty much expected. Those with extensive modelling and sculpting skills (as well as even coding) will get first consideration over those who don't as many advert/PR agencies, architectural firms, and television/film production studios don't use pre-made commercial assets..
The one possible opportunity with Daz would be game asset design and development using to Unity Bridge. Other than that it's "hanging out a digital shingle" to do illustration work and hoping someone will ping your inbox..
