I just wanted to post about how I got a chuckle from the Noodles Props and Poses promos. I don't really need them, but I think I kind of want them. It would go on the pile of stuff I thought was amazing, but have no current use for. And I also learned there's not just one way to hold chop sticks.
Anyway, I'd also need a setting to use them in. Any suggestions? I used the Yamachan food truck in one of my early renders that was noodle-related, but I'm thinking of some sitting down place, either a modern, Asian-style home or intimate restaurant.

...I found the banner on the sale page to be most amusing.
However, in Japan, slurping noodles is not only deemed acceptable but considered a sign one is enjoying the meal.

If it wasn't for the promos, I wouldn't have paid any attention to them.. It's only because of them they're in my wishlist.
For more informations (and some good laughs) one should watch the movies Tampopo and The Ramen Girl. Although one learns more about noodles, soup and japanese culture in Tampopo, the other one is also nice...
Aren't the short/medium length sticks used in conjunction with a soup spoon Korean type?
Not a bad set of dinner ware really.
One can adjust the length and leave out the spoon to make Chinese(long) or Japanese version(short).
Think I'm going to need to get this set as most of my characters are Asian or Asian based and they need something better than the empty bowls and cylinder primitives I've been using :)
I love it. I don't think there is a food prop quite like this in terms of actively eating the food. Plus there are a variety of poses and shapes to use, not a one or two, along with intricate chop stick hand poses. It makes me hungry for this lovely place we have in town.
I wonder if the noodle prop can be used as spaghetti on a fork.
Can dforce be added without messing it up?
Did you read the description? These are some sexy noodles! I think I actually got a bit turned on by the description of these noodles lol.
“Blow upon the succulent noodles, so supple and delicate. Pull them tight, then dip them into the waiting, fragrant broth.
Spicy, picante, hot—however one understands it, this noodle promises more than a nice lunch.
How much spice can I take? How much am I willing to endure?”

Yeah, we can just wait to see if Ansiko comes out with a novel soon called "50 types of broth"![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
I love the noodle-eating expressions in this, and for them it's on my wishlist. My problem with it is that the chopstick poses look more artistic than practical. I did an image search on using chopsticks and discovered that the way I've been using them since childhood is the standard way used in East Asia. My parents raised me right, at least in this regard. None of the chopstick poses in this set look right, so when I get it I'll need to make some adjusted poses.
During the course of a meal, I don't always hold my fork the same way, so it stands to reason that there's more than one way to hold chopsticks.
Having lived in China for 15 years before coming to Oz, I can confirm the variety of chopstick holds is accurate.
My issue is with the squatting pose being up on the toes instead of flat-footed (though that should be an easy enough adjustment).
Great product in any case![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)
Kind thought along similar lines. Don't need them but, those stick poses looked useful for real life.
Right. For example, we could use them to teach people that there's more than one way to hold chop sticks.
When I looked at this the first thing that came to mind was the old "Dystopai Destinations - Feng's Noodle bar" from 2007, so figured why not - still have it installed, just needed a half hours work to convert to iray, and set up some lighting..
I love the promos haha. Definitely gave me a good laugh. It's not an item I'd typically buy but. . .I feel like I could stick it in a scene. There was one specific scene from a story I thought about, and then had to convince myself "am I really going to render that? And only use it the once?" And then I thought "but. . .but noodles!"
..I also have Feng's Noodle shop in my library.
I really regret not buying that, had so many opportunities but like many things had no idea was being culled, one just cannot buy every item in the store in case it is removed
This looks like it could suits?

A lady from Hong Kong tried to teach me how to eat with chopsticks when we were both attending the Goethe Institute but I was a hopeless case. We had to stop so we could actually finish eating that same day and study for class the next day, LOL.
