I was born in the '50s, and the older I get, the more I appreciate the liberties we enjoy, and how fragile they are....
A render I did a long time ago..... "Angels watching fireworks"
Comments
I took this yesterday evening from the stern of the "Park City" (passenger/vehicle ferry), leaving Bridgeport, Connecticut, bound for Port Jefferson, NY (Long Island).
Its not a render and there are no fireworks, but it seemed kind of nice at the moment... though looking at it now, it needs a bit of color correction to look more like it appeared.
A great, appropriate shot!
"We the People..."
A question was put to all on Twitter what makes you proud to be an American and I answered serving in the U.S. military. I had the opportunity to work with so many people from all regions of our country, religions, ethnicities, and foriegn countries. It brought home to me what we could be when we are at our best, work as a team, and represent our country overseas.
We may not be perfect, but we keep trying, each generation after another. We build on the lessons learned by our fathers and mothers.
When we get knocked down, we pull ourselves back up, and keep going forward, to the future.
Everyone, please find it in your hearts to see the joy our country can bring to others, if only we keep at it.
No bad seats at a minor league baseball game. July 4th at the ballpark, eating a hot dog, followed by fireworks. Simple stuff, but having a terrific time. I realize that the Daz3D forums are worldwide, so I hope everyone has as an enjoyable time at their own holidays.
...just got back from the fireworks show on the waterfront. First time in two yeas that they've held it because of covid. Was very enjoyable to see again and had a great vantage point.
Leela would approve of all the big-bada-boom.
