Any Cheaper Way Than Measure Metrics to Measure Figures?

I'm not spending CA$65 for that when there is most likely a cheaper —or free —way to measure figures. And besides, I don't have any way to get that kind of money. Every artist knows that it is important to measure things right. So my question to you is: do you know a way I can measure accurately? With Blender, perhaps?

Here's a free way to measure height:
You can use the same trick to measure any linear distance. Circumferences are more tricky though. if you have a posable rope in your collection, you could wrap it around the relevant body part, then unwrap it and use the cube method as above - it'll be very approximate though.
If measuring things is important to you, probably best to wait till the next deep sale on Daz Originals and pick up measure metrics. It's overpriced at its full price of $50 US, but you should aim to never pay more than 50% of list price for anything, and less than that for a Daz O.
There was also a freebie, I can't find it atm that was a "ruler" you could put next to your character. Been awhile since I saw it.
Thought it was in the Daz freebies forum.
TRy this at ShareCG maybe: https://www.sharecg.com/v/69559/related/21/DAZ-Studio/Measuring-Wall
Not what I was thinking of but same principle.
Thanks for the advice. I agree it is overpriced. DAZ Gods please save us!
I use feet so I just start with a one foot cube .. you can also do things like create 20x20 walls floors etc out of the cube primetive than apply a black and white tile shader and match in to the size of your base and you can look at the floor or wall etc.
Note (hoping it is not too obvious) that if you use the method of using a primitive as a measuring stick, you should use 'front view' or another non-perspective view to ease the task.
