Render fail: Bad Allocation

Hi all,

Trying to figure out what my problem is. I'm guessing out of memory but since the log no longer includes the memory usage, I have no clue.  I only get the following render error in the log.

2022-07-06 18:56:59.540 [WARNING] :: ..\..\..\..\..\src\pluginsource\DzIrayRender\dzneuraymgr.cpp(367): Iray [WARNING] - API:DATABASE ::   1.0   API    db   warn : Transaction is released without being committed or aborted. Automatically aborting.
2022-07-06 18:57:38.847 [INFO] :: RenderQueue: Critical box: bad allocation

I'm using ManFriday's Render Cue https://www.daz3d.com/render-queue

I'm also using Scene Optimizer by V3Digitimes https://www.daz3d.com/scene-optimizer

RTX 3090 and 24 GB RAM (4th ram slot is not working, hence 24). Rendering iray with CPU deactivated.

Seven G8.X figures, only hdri and an environment. With scene optimizer I already reduced almost all textures (including G8.X figures) to 1024 or below.

Any ideas?

Can I use the light of the HDRI without having the actual image rendered? I was thinking of dividing the render in two parts, i.e. (1) the environment with the hdri image and then (2) the G8.X figures, but with the light effect/shadows obtained with the HDRI (no image). Then use GIMP to combine them.

Thanks in advance
