Daz Studio 4.8 Content Directory Getting Lost Sometimes

I've ran into the issue of my content library getting sort of stuck in a drilled down location. Then I cannot get it to go back up to top level where I can see People, Poses etc. Has anyone else seen this and does anyone have a way to reset my content directory back to the top?

What do you mean stuck? Have you tried switching to tree view, assuming you are using list view (option menu - the lined button in the top corner)?

I mean the view seems like I've drilled down to a very deep sub folder and then I cannot get it back to the top level. Changing layout themes will usually resolve this but it seems like a bug of some kind to me.

Also, yes I did try switching to tree view with the little icon as well.

How are you trying to switch back to the top level -- using the arrows, or clicking on a folder?

  • I don't know if this is the same issue or not, but I can't seem to figure out how to restore the folder menu view - I'm going to call it that since I can't find a manual with proper names for these things.  Originally, I could see a content library menu that allowed me to work left to right through runtime directory folders - for example: People > Genesis 3 Female > Victoria 7 - and then view the contents of the folder below.  Now all I can see is a searchable database window, which also doesn't have the button for adding runtime directories.  I must have clicked *something* to cause this, but simply trying to back up pages isn't the answer.  What am I missing here?

Click the rectangle with horizontal lines in the upper corner and choose "List View" (and no, I have no idea why it's called List View and the vertical one is called Tree View).

Thanks.  I've seen that instruction elsewhere.  When I click it - whether left or right click - I don't get any sort of menu options.

What if you right-click on the tab part of the pane that says "Content Library"?

Did that, and it made no difference.  However, I finally found the problem.  Figured it was a stray click of some sort, and it was:

I really appreciate the quick responses, though - thank you very much!
