Auto fit crashing Daz 4.8

Is this a known bug in the current release of 4.8?
I'm having recurring problems whereby auto fitting gen 4 clothing to genesis 2 causes Daz studio to crash.
It has happened now with a number of different items and on different Genesis 2 characters. Most frustrating.
Genesis content seems to auto fit fine, but not V4/M4 clothing. One example is the Treadz boots that came with the v4 bundle. It's also happening with non-Daz content.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be most grateful,

    The V4 TreadZ I have fit to G2F without crashing. That's probably an old, pre-DIM, install but I haven't generally noticed any crashes or frequent reports of crashes. Is the CMS running - do you have entries in Smart Content and in the Categories view in Content Library?

    Yes I have smart content running and category entries. Murphy's law, lol, I tried Treadz again m4 on g2m and this time it worked. But when I tried the M4 bodysuit on g2m Daz crashed again.
    There was a very recent update in DIM for Treadz. I wonder if that fixed whatever was causing that issue.

    I've had this a few times, I think only with non-DAZ content. Can't recall what items now but having tried the same thing a few times it was consistent in prodcusing a crash.
