Infinite Iray Loop on the Viewport

On the viewport the iray preview is just going into infinite loop. Just white and gray, never ever finish the iray preview.

I look at my cuda cores usage, it's only 0% and gpu memory usage only half usage.

I have searched this forum for the similar problem, but all threads end up with no conclusion or definitive solution.

I cant work on my scene.

I have ryzen 5
32GB DDR5 Ram
RTX 2060 6GB Vram.

Help.

Use texture shaded preview instead, your computer may be underpowered for Iray preview.

Does this also happen if you try on a primitive with an HDRI (and nothing else)?

    @felis

    If I started fresh.
    Open DAZ.
With HDRI and Primitive I can preview in IRAY.

@PerttiA I pose in texture shaded, but then after that I need to view the result in Iray.

If my comp underpowered, then which component?
Since the data shows no cuda cores were used, and GPU Memory only half used.
It would be useless if I upgrade my GPU, wouldn't it?

Your GPU has only 3GB's of VRAM for Iray, the rest is used up for Windows, DS, the baseload of the scene and "Working Space" - What's left, isn't much for any current content.

Too bad nVidia removed the information about VRAM usage from the log, but the scene can still reserve VRAM for the geometry, before the process 'sees' the textures don't fit, at which point the GPU stops working on it.

OK. I can confirmed it is VRAM capacity problem.
I've upgraded my GPU to RTX 3060 12GB. And it render preview like butter.

I wish I can afford 3080 12 GB. But I have to suffice with 3060.
Until I can recoup the money spend, then I'll upgrade.

With 12 GB it seems the scene and windows take overall around 4/5 the capacity, maybe 10Gb.

So yeah, if I may suggest anyone who has the same problem.
12 GB is nice to have to work with.

6GB is pain in the ass.

So everything else lies in between.
