Has anyone seen this before: Prop loads disassembled

I was loading an older prop that was designed for Poser.

I had the room selected when I loaded it. And it loaded like in the left side picture, with the main part of the Prop in the scene like it should, but the interior parts loaded parented to the room.

Once I figured out the problem, i deleted it and loaded the prop without the room selected and it loaded like it should.

Has anyone seen this happen before?

And another weird thing with this prop..when selected (the main part), a vertical line and a horizontal line shoot off, which actually helped position nicely....doesn't seem to be from the center point with joint editor..

    weird.

Well I've seen some old props load in pieces where they should not be at all ...
the last image I suspect indicates that there "might be" more to the model, a dot perhaps, located somewhere out of the scene.

There's one temple scene set of props I bought from another company once that was acting up in D/S. Turned out that while the prop was to load say "1 bull", it loaded the ENTIRE scene "over and over" for every prop one asked for! They had simply moved the scene "out of view" and been hoping I gather that nobody would notice.

If that's the chair I think it is, it was created back in the Poser 4 days, and is definitely not up to current standards. And, IIRC, those "infinite lines" are because of some degenerate N-gons in the geo for it.
