Convert DForced plane to a static prop?

Greetings.

Simple question.  I created a new primitive plane with a high number of divisions.  I applied a DForce modifier to the plane.  I draped the plane over a cubic object to get a tablecloth effect.  I want to save the draped plane as a new static prop for future use as a ghostly tablecloth.  Eerie?  Anyway, I can't find a menu that has 'convert DForce object to prop,' or similar.

    Export as OBJ.

Exactly, and then reimport into Dazstudio and save as a prop asset.

    Thank You.

This solution, while effective, is less than elegant.  I will put in a suggestion to include a 'convert DForce result to static object' menu option in the next update.  Seems like something that would be a common desire.

First time I have heard anyone express a need for this. I export as OBJ all the time, it's pretty straight forward

In my opinion, FSMCDesigns has given the best argument FOR a hot-key or menu options which converts a DForce result to prop, not against it.  'I export as OBJ all the time...'  While there is no 'need' for such a menu option or hotkey, it would be a convenient thing to have, and people would 'use it all the time.'

In my view, there is much more relevant things to focus on for Daz developers.

If you really has the need, maybe a PA can do a tool for that.

Or you could use this tool to turn dForce into a morph https://www.daz3d.com/dforce2morph

And if you saved the plane with the morph loaded, it should be as good as a static prop.
