Exporting issue in Daz 4.8... New "Feature" or bug or opereator error?

When using Daz 4.7, I could load two items such as a genesis and a shirt. apply a morph to genesis, and just export the shirt to a .obj file by selecting just the shirt.

But Now with 4.8, I any time I try this, anything in the scene at the time, whether parented to the genesis or not, also gets exported. I can "turn off" items so they don't get exported as well, but this is a bit of a pain.

Also of note: (probable operator error as well), I used to be able to turn off a parent item, and have all the sub items turn off as well. Such as turning off the genesis also turned off the hair and clothing. or I had a speaker set that consisted of a speaker box, 4 speakers, and 2 knobs, turning off the speaker box (the top level) would make the whole thing invisible, Now I have to turn off each piece individually... Any Ideas on what setting I messed up? It's starting to get annoying and time consuming when I want to pose a group of figures but only want to render one or two at a time.

Nothing has changed, the only way to control what was exported and what was not was to hide items.

So color me embarrassed... I apparently got mixed up between exporting to a .obj ( I rarely use) and using the Hex bridge to "export" to Hex (which I use often).... Oh well, sorry for the waste of time...
