shader or no shader?

I bought the Jewels - Eyes for V4 (http://www.daz3d.com/jewels-eyes-for-v4) during a recent sale, and knowing sometimes Poser MATs sometimes need tweaked in Daz, when a product offers both a shader or no shader option, and there isn't a little yellow scroll showing me it's DS friendly, which one should I use? The shader or the no shader?

The product description says:

MAT Poses for DAZ|Studio and Poser
MATs for Poser 5/6/7 include Shader Settings for further realism

Does that mean the 'shader' files are more for Poser but suck for Daz?

    No Shader
MAT Poses for DAZ|Studio and Poser

    Shader

Use the no shader option in DAZ Studio

Kinda thought so. Now, is that a standard rule of thumb?

Not completely reliable, but it does tend (if you are dealing with Poser format files) to mean materials using just the basic settings (DS-friendly) vs. materials set up in the Material Room. However, it can mean DAZ Default Shader vs one of the SSS shaders for DS, even in a Poser Format content directory if there are scroll icons on the thumbnails. Sorry, but as with anything human-generated it isn't a fixed usage.
