font2MeshConverter question again.

A year ago when I couldn't get my FEMC to work, I found a thread here discussing the issue and there was some super simple trick to make it work. 
Can't find that thread and searching turns up nothing. 
I was not run the exe that loads the dx9 dll cause I ran that and acturally ran the entire archived dx stuff and it wasn't run in compatilibily mode... but it was something really simple and it worked and mine was woriking and now it's not.

If I'm no longer in daz+ will that furum disappear from my diecussion list etc?

Still would like to find out what the work around is so it will run in win 7 again...
but for the time being the work around is to install it on the win 10 machine. 
where the same installer works
yes, it's so logical that a XP program will run on 10 but not 7.

Could be the 'Compatibility' option is required, that's the one you get when you right-click on the program icon, go to 'properties'

tried that ... xp but no different.. now if there was just an option in windows 7 to run in windows 10 compatibilty mode.
And of course it may want to have the compatibilty reset a couple times.... 
Hmm, I wonder if it was adding something to the shortcut. 
Ask I recall it was a simple thing.. but also I think it was counter intuitive. 
So for the ime being I have to do text on the w10 machine to bring over to this one. 
But as a side benefit on this mess... the two computers not only showed up in the others network list but actually were willing to pass stuff back and forrh.
