Victoria 7 legs realism

The lower legs of the Victoria series have never been very realistic. The knee area was especially week. The calves have not been very good either. There simply are not enough polygons in the area to do realistic morphs. I've attached three images of real legs that show the features that have been poorly approximated by the Victoria legs. The attachment points of muscles and tendons contour the surfaces causing bumps and dimples (calf cleavage?) which are necessary for realism. Does Genesis 3 / Vicky 7 come any closer than its predecessors to looking real in the knees and calves? How realistically is the calf morphed by a greater than 90 degree bend of the knee or a bend of the foot?

elbows are much better. Knees are much better. Though I can't say I've spent much time in the more challenging poses to see the patella and what not, but the knees and elbows are much sharper than historically.

i wanna say the calves are a bit better too...but only about a day into tinkering and half of that has been researching something else.

sorry the materials aren't the same..but here is the same pose for both G2F and G3F. G3F is on the left. I used the G2F to G3F pose coverter tool. they are very close in pose while not exact.

I still think the improvements in the knee are visible.

Most of the legs you posted are very skinny (even by Daz standards) The base and v7 have a bit more meat on them that said v7 ain't far off either, especially whenever the hd morph comes out, as that tend to add a bit of knee detail.

As the other poster mentioned this generation does a much better job of keeping volume when bending than the previous ones so wee get nice pointy elbows and knees

Renders below are some quick one's of v7's legs with the normal maps applied.

I noticed those things on V4 too, along with distortion at the hip joints in certain poses like high kicks and splits.

They look much more realistic on G3F, at least to me, and I am not getting distortion or strange bends in any poses.

I posted this image in another thread but I'm on my phone right now and it's the only one I can upload to backup what I'm saying.

I'm really happy with the upgrade, I've wanted to do certain posses and animations for fight scenes but was limited to long shots before, but it's all good now.

Thank you, All, for your replies. The examples you gave me do look better than the results I get with the G2F model. Could anyone post some pictures of the knee and lower leg meshes from the G3F model? Front, back, left, right? I'd like to compare it to the G2F mesh.
