Another ancient one departs. Youngsters (unretired persons) may not remember her for anything but her voice.  Funny lady.smiley

Oh no. Hers was the voice behind my daughters' favourite character before they went to school. Oh what a shame. And in the same week as Bernard Cribbins, beloved in my childhood memories as 'Midshipman Poopdecker' from 'Carry on Jack', and 'Lt. Uhura'. No more, please. Regards, Richard.

I only know him from an episode of Would I Lie to You.

I remember him from a few "Dr. Who" episodes.

I had a very poignant memory of Pat Carroll. When I was a child, my late father was a policeman with a lot of accomplishments (i have his Policeman of the Year award onmy coffee table).  He was involved with the imfamous Night Stalker serial killer case and was interviewed on a local KPIX morning show called "People Are Talking" with Ann Fraser and Ross McGowan.  The other guest was Pat Carroll; I still remember her asking my father questions.  Her passing brought up memories of my sadly departed dad.

She was so good as a guest star in a lot of those old shows.
