Does anyone know if using SY dForce Confetti and Nature Effects would be practical for animations? For example if I had a Fall scene where I have a animation of a character walking in a park, could I animate the leaves faling for the duration of the animation for a 30 second clip?

Have you tried? If the leaves are falling too quickly, you could try increasing air resistance to get a more realistic effect. There are probably other parameters that would help (in addition to a a wind node), but that's the first one I'd try.
Gordig, I asked about this product before but was on the fence today because it was on sale so I went ahead and picked it up. There is actually a simular prodruct from rendo called leaf dropper, but it is difficult to just get it to simulate leaves gently floating down. I on do animations in DAZ so it it is always frustration to find out if some products can be animated. SY has a few Volumetric products but not for animation, I have heard that the new animated textures product can animate volumetrics but there is little info to be found. So I am always on the prowl for animation tools.
I did some experiments with the product and the biggest issue is the rate at which the leaves fall, I tried chinging up gravity settings in dforce but they still come down super fast. They do collide well with other items in the scene well though. Anybody know how to slow the decent in dforce?
Change their mass, and air density? (is there friction); gravity you've tried, but I've used combinations when trying for an affect, although it wasn't for an animation.
....did you try the thing I suggested?
Ooops forgot to metion that Gordig, yes I did change air resistance but I am wondering if I went the wrong direction with the setting or not enough. First time I have ever used Dforce to be honest. I prefer VWD by a long shot for cloth simulations so I usully stick with that. I know dforce can be used in differen ways though.
