Exposure Value default change for printed media?
Is there any way to change the Render Settings > Tone Mapping > Exposure Value from 13 (default) to 12 and keep it that way?
Everytime I launch DAZ, it's back to 13.
I tried saving the Workspace after changing to 12, but it still reverts back to 13 when I launch DAZ Studio again.
I need to have it set to 12 by default because my scenes are too dark.
They look great on the monitor, but the printer (Amazon KDP) is printing them darker, in fact, some scenes that are at night are just about completely black by the time they are printed, with details barely visible. (see attachments below)
See attached: printed book vs. DAZ rendering. The printed book makes the panda look like a totally dark silhouette!
It's driving me mad, and Amazon KDP is no help.
Yes, I can lighten the pictures in DAZ or in photoshop, but a value of 12 would mean less of having to adjust things.

You can create a scene file with your desired defaults, then use the settings menu (F2, unless you've changed your keybindings) to set it to load automatically on starting DS, and also when creating a new scene (both need to be set separately).
You want to set your default file to read-only so that you don't overwrite it by mistake.
Thanks. I don't always use the scene file that loads at startup, but if it's the only option I will go with that.
Plus, all the assets I have saved to .duf files override the 12 back to 13 when I merge them with the scene.
I'd have to go back and change hundreds of these assets. Wish there was a way to just have it save as 12 on Studio in general.
Well, you could save a render settings preset and use a custom action to add it to the menu bar, which would at least give you a shortcut to set it quicker.
Thanks, no idea how to do that but I will google it. :)
