G2F: Unhooking hair from shoulders?

Something I've been running into lately with some longer hair, is when I want to pose it, the ends are essentially glued to the shoulders of the figure. I was trying to have the figure lean backwards, and rather than being able to pose the hair to hang back, it stayed in place no matter which part of the hair's bones I tried to move.
In this case, it's hair made for G2F.
(Sorry, I don't have pictures...I forgot to take them before I started a night render).
Maybe related, I've found similar issues autofitting hair from v4 to g2f....It would bend and crimp when I tried to use it..
(not a great picture, sorry.. I was working on that last week, then gave up and used a similar but not really what I wanted G2F hair that at least hung straight).

With the Hair selected in the Scene pane, go to the Parameters pane, and look in the 'Currently Used' section. Morphs are sometimes added by AutoFollow I think, and that can lead to those sort of problems. Dial the morphs down to zero, and that should take the crimping out for you.
you can try adding smoothing modifier
Don't autofit hair. load in default pose on both hair and figure and then parent, works much better .
But G2F hair isn't autofitted, but it was still locked to the shoulders. (I'll try the other with v4 hair, though).
