Before I go spending money, let me ask. Can I use a Bryce IBL probe for Studio's IRay?

What is its mapping, and what image format is it (most importantly, what is its bit-depth)?
To be honest, I haven't a clue. It's one of the ones that comes with Bryce that Horo made.
The ones that came with Bryce 7.1 are in the Angular Map projection and can so not be used in Studio. However, you can remap them in Bryce to Spherical (IBL Tab, Export Image, Type Spherical; File Type HDR Image File, Format changes to 96 Bits Per Pixel). Some of the free HDRIs on my website are Angular Maps and newer ones Spherical. Get a free Spherical one and try it out. (Got to Raytracing > Resources > HDRI (S) for the Spherical ones). In the galleries I've seen Studio Iray renders with some of my HDRIs.
Thank you Horo! I've downloaded a couple and I'll play with them after I get back from VA appt.
You are welcome SandySims. Have fun and do not hesitate to ask if anything is unclear.
