Difference between Arki's M and F Angeloi outfits?
I adore Arki's (+Shox-Design's) stuff, I've got most of their products and am constantly impressed by the modularity and range of texture options they come with. However, after flicking between the seperate Angeloi outfits for male and female, I'm wondering what the tangible differences between them are. Of course I'm not saying there should be specific differences between genders for clothing, more just wondering why one might not just buy one version and autofit it to the other, especially since I've found dForce tends to negate any chest-based issues.
The only difference I might have noticed is that the female version comes with a bra option, I think? So could I just buy that version and not use it if necessary for male characters? (and then one other difference in the add-ons is that the gauntlet is on the other arm, but I don't think they're actually... any different? So mirror geometry would fix that quite nicely)

Style-wise I don't think there's much difference beside the bra.
As for why having two versions, in addition to the potential custom bones issue the arm ribbons (and probably the belt too) would most likely autofit very poorly.
You could get only female and then see for yourself if either autofit or scripted converters are giving good results. if not, you can get the male one as well.
Usually it's better if the outfit was from the scratch made for both genders, though. With multilayered sets even scripted converters have some troubles.
Autofit has a lot of limitations and leaves many things to be desired. For something like this, to get the full quality of rigging, both versions need to be set up individually by the creator.
Why not Genesis 8 Cross-Figure Resource Kit? No-autofit problems, no re-rigging...
I'm just delighted to see a reworking of the old gen4 versions. Now I'm wondering if any of the rest of those are likely for a rebuild.
Hi all!
You will see a big difference in terms of all the outfit shape morphs. All of them are custom sculpted to fit the figures as distortion free as possible.
That means, all the shape morphs for Bodybuilder, Victoria 8, Michael 8, etc are custom sculpted, not generated by autofit. That plays a huge role when it comes to things like straight lines on belts, the wrappings on the tops, etc.
Also, the rigging is also adapted to the different male and female base figures. This means, skirts, belts, ribbons, etc have different setups to look as good as possible when you move them around.
As for the rest of the old Angeloi for V4/ M4 stuff... they might be updated for future products. I will not rule it out, but I also will not promise it. Right now my work schedule is a bit too unpredictable to foretell upcoming products or product series.
Hope that helps,
Kim/Arki
Has anyone with the F version of the Angeloi outfit found the bra/croptop version. I bought the bundle as I wanted the bra but I cannot find an option for this.
There are two top surfaces, for the under top and the over top, but both of these cover the entire torso.
I found a Hide Bottom morph in the Parameters of the Top, but this makes no visible change on my install.
Given it features in at least 50% of the promo images I assumed it came with the bundle but may be wrong.
The "Actor->Hide-Show->Hide Bottom" changes the top into a bandeau-style bra. Do you have more than one top loaded? The "AN !FULL 1" wearable loads the top in that bandeau style.
Thanks North, the issue was I'd started to move my Daz files to a new drive but some of this bundle got loaded to the old folder and therefore wasn't working.
All fixed and working now.
Okay, crisis averted...
