Genesis and Genesis 2 RAM/Graphics Memory

How much ram does your Genesis and/or Genesis 2 take up upon loading?
Mines takes up about 1,400,000K+
and Genesis 2 is about the same, I think 1,600,000K+
Did I install to many extra morphs back and forth with GenX2?
Or is that everyday G/G2 ram intake
Not gonna lie... I think I messed up because I have to many drop down Generation X G.x folders for G and G2...
How do I remove all the unnecessary full figure morphs exports? without uninstalling everything and restarting from scratch please Dx

I think this is something you can improve with some file management effort..
One thing that I have done from time to time is remove generated morph folders - I make a lot of custom morphs and Daz copies 3000+ morphs to each folder each time I save one I am happy with as a support asset. Yes and many many morphs have been created by some playing around in GenX versions - same as for all the morphs I have made - I want to minimize these to what I use.
Some of my poor Genesis are morphed into wearable face masks LOL :/
Anyway I tend to grab the couple of created morphs and bundle them to a fresh directory and hide the rest on another drive until I know if I can delete them... then I load any scenes made using them and see what it trips out on in the absence of these 1000's of morph... finger poses and things I ignore, and save the scene thereby stripping the trival morph poses, a few other things I grab the morphs and put them back - but I try to minimize the number..
One thing that helps some is Dimension 3D's File reference editor - it quickly lets me see what morphs have more than 1 source and lets me search and replace for alternative morphs from the ones I have removed.
Are you using 4.8 or an earlier release? I think there has been some improvements to the memory management in 4.8, because when I used to load a Genesis character it would consume around 800mb (this is before I set any morphs at all), whereas now it loads in "only" 400mb. G2M/G2F consume about 250MB (in 4.8) and the new G3F only 150mb, but then I have only a few G3F morphs at the moment (V7 and some clone morphs I created).
Clearly the more morphs you have on the figure the greater the amount of memory it consumes, so the last poster is correct that uninstalling ones that you rarely/never use will help. Another option is to change your Genesis characters + their clothing/hair to props once you have finished posing them. This drastically reduces the memory needed for the figure. This is worth considering if you have limited memory and are doing a scene with multiple characters.

I use the latest Daz Studio and IM xD but that didn't really change the Direct Full Memory Consumption, BUT I think Daz Studio manages larger workloads much better and doesn't crash as much for me when I use up almost all of my ram and I don't get messages from Windows telling me it doesn't have enough ram to work or show correctly...
Maybe it was just all recent lucky eh?
By default the generated "transfer morphs" are saved to:
Example G2F:
Data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/Morphs/D3D Gen X folder
If you selected a different "Output folder" in the options then you'll have to look there.
One feature I really like and use a lot is the Morphs tab.
Here we can see a list of either just the GenX morphs or all of the morphs for our selected figure.
On this tab we can also disable/enable morphs - I use this to disable morphs I don't use often so the figure can load faster. :)
Where can I view and change the output folder in Daz Studio for GenX2? I never seen where it was located, so there was no way I could of changed it.
I can't see the extra genesis 2 male and genesis clones for neither of them, just the main set in GenX2
The output option is at the bottom of the panel. (First Image)
To see the clones in the list you have to right click, select show in list, then put a check in Hidden Morphs/Controllers.

I.. I don't have that option...
Here is a snapshot after I loaded Genesis 1 in GenX2
I use "Keep Existing Files" was that the problem?
I just wanted to add a couple ZBrush morphs from G1 to G2 and did not want to lose everything else prev exported/converted.
Also, why do I have Genesis in Studio3 xD
Do you have a screen of your GenX panel?
EDIT: K thank you, one sec I'll take a look at your screenshot. :)
Like this? v
Do you have the latest update?
EDIT: I just noticed the Output option when I reinstalled the plugin on 6/7.
My plugin version says it's 2.0.2.0 - not sure if that makes a difference.
I just checked the GenX2 manual:
Version 2.0.2, 22.02.2015
Bugfixes:
• fixed problem that some compressed DSON files can’t be read
Changes:
• support for multiple content libraries when loading morphs for Genesis figures
• option to set own output folder for transferred morphs and controllers
• special shape presets for V4 and M4 legacy morphs for Genesis 2
I think you have to update your plugin my friend :)
I will try >__>
super broke atm :/

I'm confused. Your screenshot shows G2M so I assume you have GenX2 instead of the old GenX.
I meant to update your plugin either manually via the Product Library on the site or through DIM.
