Question about Fisty & Darc "Modern Wall Clocks" and Iray

I just purchased Modern Wall Clocks and it's got exactly what I need. It looks good while in Texture Shaded preview, but in Iray (preview or full-on render), there's a black ring that blocks out half the numbers (Image 1). I tracked it down to the "Backing" layer in surfaces, and if I reduce Cutoff Opacity to that layer, it goes away - but turns too much invisible (Reduced Cutoff image). I've tried to edit the image that the clock uses (Original) by reducing the black ring in it (Edited) but it doesn't seem to have any impact.

That image is the only one being used as far as I can tell; it's in the "Base Color" layer. No other images are being used. (And yet, when I replace the original image with my edited copy, it doesn't change the Rendered image.

Thoughts? I'm no Daz expert, but I gave it a good shot. Someone smarter than me is going to have to let me in on what's going on. :)

I do have it, but it isn't currently installed.  I can check it out later tonight after I get my computer charged up enough.

That would be great. I made a temp fix but using Cutoff to make it go away, and then put a white primitive behind the clock. But I don't really wanna have to do that on a regular basis (which will be often; working on a graphic novel with a time travel theme). :)

This looks quite normal to me.

    Which material are you using?

I don't have a problem with it either. This render is the 4 clocks with their default materials rendered with the default DS render settings ruins HDRI. I placed the clocks against a wall, but even without the wall, there was no black ring visible.

It looks to me like you have deleted the Cutout Opacity mask image for the Markers surface of the clock. Please check.
