Does anyone have any ideas which model it was or which base model was used?

If you can't find a thread, it may have been moved (or, maybe, deleted). To find if the thread is still visible and locate it, click on the gear icon at the top right of the screen, then select 'My Discussions' from the dropdown list that appears, and you'll get a list of all the threads you've started. It'll also highlight the ones with unviewed replies.
