[Solved] Problem with Shells

This problem developed about two months ago and I've searched for answers, but can't find anything that works. I'm hoping someone here can help.

One day, all the shells on my characters stopped fitting. You can clearly seen the border lines and the original body doesn't conform. (No idea if I'm explaining this correctly.)

It's not only with 3rd party products. Genesis 8 Female Genitalia (that comes with Pro Bundles) loads and the original body remains. Other products are Tattoos, Golden Palace and Breastacular. If any of these show in the render, it takes SO long to render (after an hour I usually quit at 10%). If they're not shown, it's usually close to finished after an hour.

Also, not sure if it's related, but I also can't return my characters fingernails back to normal. I don't know how it happened to begin with, but "Remove Nails" doesn't work.

I've attached some images that hopefully show what I mean.

Thanks in advance for any help.

UPDATE: About the nails, I discovered I had a second character's body shape at 100% as well. When I changed that to 0%, the nails went back to normal.

  • Please put the Viewport into a non-textured mode, suich as Smooth Shaded, if you need to show a nude figure

Which tool is active (checked in the Tools menu)?

     Noted. Sorry about that.

Checked the tool, somehow had MeshGrabber active. When I changed it to Scene Navigator, the shell problem fixed itself.

The tattoo and nails are still a mystery...

  • Do the nails revert if you do Edit>Figure>Zero>Zero Figure Shape?

Yes, but is there a way to just revert the nails and not all the custom shapes? I played around with Surface Selection and was able to keep some of the morphs/shapes. Should I take note of the custom shaping numbers and re-do the character? (If it's the easiest solution, I'm not opposed to it.)

Yes. Load the DevLoad version of the figure, which will have everything at default, then zero its shape and memorise that (Edit>Figure>Memorise>Memorise Figure Shape). Now File>Save As>support Assets>Save Modified Assets - the thing(s) listed in the options dialogue will be the problem product(s), you can use that info to report them to the store or creator, and (as longas you didn't install through Daz Studio itself) you should have fixed the issue for your own content even without an update.
