Question about editing a 'texture on a surface'.

Hi Daz family,

I have a short question about editing textures on a surface/object. When I have added a custom texture to a surface/object I can go to the shaders map and add 2x,5x,10x tiling to the texture (texture repeat). Is there maybe also a way to offset a texture in Daz? Sometimes when I use a custom background I want to move the texture upwards a bit (or an other direction) and I can't do it. I have to go into Paint.net to edit the texture and then apply it again to the surface/object in DS. Is there a way to change the texture position on a surface/object in Daz?

  • In the Parameters > surface tab and with your object selected scroll down. You will find the sliders for tiling and for offset. There you can type in the value or drag the slider...

Thank you. It's been staring in my face all along, but I didn't understand what that part was for.

You can furthermore do it for individual maps, if you right click on the texture in the surface tab and select image editor. That gives the option to tile and offset for that texture, but keep other textures without or with a different tiling (and offset).
