Moved to the Commons as it is not a Daz Studio topic.
Hi, thanks. Well, looks like we have som servers insues, no? Here the download or to open any page from Daz, take a long time.
Daz has nearly perpetual server issues. All I can tell you is to try again later, preferably on a weekday when there are people in the Daz office. ;)
The best time for me is usually between 6-10AM, but I'm 9 hours ahead of DAZ HQ
..speaking of servers, this was the first thread I opened to read for the day After finishing I clicked the "Commons" link in the top banner and wahddya know, a 504 gateway error (followed by a 502 after I refreshed it) before the Content's page reappeared.
As to the matter of downloading, I generally do so in the evening (The States, west coast time) and never really experienced any slowness save for very large installer files and even then it wasn't extreme. (400 MB/s download speed here).
Yes, this happens way too often. I'm using Firefox browser and sometimes in the bottom left corner I see some kind of link to a google ad or something like that which it seems to be getting stuck on and after enough time has elapsed, I get the same gateway error. After all this time I still don't understand why they haven't fixed this.
Earlier today on an airport shuttle I tried to tap on The NY Times bookmark, but the bus was shaking so badly I couldn't tell what my finger tapped on instead... I couldn't even read the screen, but before it stopped shaking I could see it was frozen on a 502 Bad Gateway Error, so I knew it was DAZ's forums without further investigation.
But yeah, I'd say at this point I get more broken connections than pages that open... generally I have to wait from three to five minutes to get through and then usually I get about ten or fifteen minutes before the next crash.
This is getting as bad as it was in 2013 when they ditched the old forums... for like two years the forums were painfully useless and many of the old members disappeared or moved on to other sites or things.
...the search routine in the old forums was much better as well as it used filters that allowed you to input date ranges, search by post author, search by individual post or thread, and would match more than one word in a search string. Yes it was held together with rubber bands, duct tape, and bubblegum, bit it worked.
Don't give them any ideas.
