Iray time limit

The default time limit for Iray is supposed to be 2 hours but I usualy have renders running past that. Yesterday I set up a render to run overnight. I set the limit value to 28800 which should have made it stop after 8 hours. It actually ran much longer, 10 hours 17 minutes 49.56 seconds according to the log.

In the old days before IBM compatible PCs we used to get timimg differences on computer games becuase British home computers had displays that ran at 50 frames per second while American ones were 60. Is Iray using some region dependent timing system? Do American users see the same behaviour? Do other British users see this? Maybe my computer is acting up.

  • I'm not sure when it checks time elapsed but would not expect it to be constant - it's quite possible that, in a heavy render, it might take a long time between checks (though i admit two hours on top of eight seems excessive).

With me.  The trouble 80% of the time seems to be updates loading in the background.
