So i know i need to apply a material to the genitals for it to look right. I tried applying the Carmilia figure (the one loaded in my scene then the genitals to the figure, then the figure(Carmilla) full body mats to the genitals but no luck. Can anyone help me out with some basic tips or instructions on getting this to look right? Thanks!

You need to select the gens in the scene tab, and the surface of the gens before applying the gens material.
The G3F genitals are not UV mapped like the Genesis and G2F genitals, they cannot use the figure texture but need their own map. If the texture set you are using doesn't include a genital map and mat preset then there is nothing you can do.
googling grey genitals must surely get some interesting results ....
From the file list for Carmilla it looks like she does include genitalia textures, although the product page does not seem to list them.

Both she and Victoria 7 have the necessary textures to make it work. As others have mentioned, it's no longer a case of simply copying the hip materials from the model, as they are uniquely mapped due to the extra geometry.
I wonder if some people would prefer the simple genital Geo Graft like Genesis and G2F had that did map to the hip?
there IS
Genisis 3 Female--> Character--> Carmilla--> Materials Iray---> Carmilla Genitalia.duf
I'm sure some would. My money would be on them being vastly outnumbered by the people who have been asking for a very long time for more realism.

The genital add ons have been in the Pro bundles for all generations of Genesis.
So far I have Camilla, FWSA Adaline, Summer and Victoria 7 coming with genitalia textures. There seem to be more characters coming out without them than with. I can only guess why content providers are or are not including them. To me providing a complete set of textures is a selling point.
For those characthers that have come out without genital texture maps I've found, with a little experimentation, that one of the other texture maps will work fine. Just experiment with the ones you have. It will be pretty obvious when you've found a good match.

The genitals are only included in the V7, Bethany 7, .... Karen 7 pro bundles. They are not part of the base Genesis 3 Female product. Most the skin textures that come as part of the Pro bundles include genitial textures in the Materials directory.

They came with the V7 pro bundle or one of the other G3 pro bundles. I'm not sure why the put them under Anatomy, but that is the way they have been doing the G1 and G2 genitials. Perhaps because they are geocrafted. There is a preset for the texture in the V7 materials. Most of the other characters in the Pro bundles also have the genitial texture. Some other characters do and some do not.
they put the mesh in anatomy folder because it is shared for all the shapes.
The materials are specific to particular characters so they tend to stay with the character materials. Exceptions to this were for original genesis figures, the base material was in the anatomy folder. Each subsequent character had their mats in their dedicated folder.
Actually - their is a work around for your gential on model issue.... another animator friend of mine uses Victoria 7 gen map with Victoria 7 skin. It works on ALL gen3 models without issue.
Can anyone explain how to fix that step by step? I am new and I am trying to understand, but I do not get it :( Thank you in advance.
Which? With what character? Do you have a Pro Bundle with the Anatomical Elements?
Ok, you are right. I am sorry for not descibe it as it should be. I made few pictures, I hope it will be more clear now :)
I used Michael 7 Pro Bundle. I think there is Anatomical Elements, but how I can check that?

We don't allow nude images, so I have had to remove two of yours.
You have the Anatomical elelements loaded - now you need to select them (either right-click on them in the viewport and pick them from the menu or in the Scene pane click the triangle to expand the male figure's entry and then click their entry under him) and apply the materials preset for the character you are using (from People>Genesis 3 Male>Characters>character folder of People>Genesis 3 Male>Materials>character folder, wheer character folder will be the one for the character you are using: Michael 7 and Genesis 3 Male are in the Materials folder, most add-ons are in the Characters folder.
Just a quick note.
I was fighting this very issue recently, but for a slightly different reason.
I have a FW character that I purchased that is based on Teen Josie 7. Teen Josie of course doesn't come with anatomical elements, but in a thread I read (found via a google search) it mentioned that if you applied the Victoria 7 textures (assuming you have the one that has Anatomical Elements), this would solve this issue. I tried that suggestion, and the deform was showing up properly (i.e. the shape) but the crotch region coming out gray/white anyways.
This thread has the instructions I was following: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/62796/can-t-apply-skin-to-genesis-3-genitalia
SOOOO, it turns out that in my case a geometry shell was interfering with this. I had a Succubus Shell that was 'blocking' the view of the crotch textures, even though it was otherwise transparent. I 'hid' the Succubus Shell and Voila, no more white region at the crotch!
Dunno if this applies to the other guy's problem, but if you are ever in this situation, just a quick FYI for everyone.
Thank you very much, problem solved!
