Summer Savings

Is there a reason why the Summer Savings discount no longer applies to the Fast Grab items? There is nothing on the Summer Savings page that says the extra discount should not apply. Plus it was working yesterday.

Good point. I just noticed it didn't apply to the fast grab I bought today.

Well, I am holding the items in my basket until I hear. If not, then I will just put them back on the shelf.

We were told that the promotion would run "for a month".

Does anyone know the answer to the original question yet, does summer savings still apply to Fastgrab? If not I am putting mine back too.

Fast grabs are already discounted 70%

Does anyone ever consider the PA who's pack you are getting an uber discount on. A pack that took 3 months to make and you are only making $2 per unit. We have to sell 5 times more to make what we should. Fast grab is already a uber discount at 70% off.

Yes I do realize that , but it isn't you or I who made the mistake and Daz should be the one making up the price difference to the PA, not the potential future customer who's items were a great price in the cart and then snatched away. I could be a first time buyer of one of the PA's products at that great price, and seeing what wonderful quality the product was won't hesitate to buy another product at only 30% off or full price if I really need it right now. when Daz makes an error on their price coding it shouldn't be you or I that loose, but they as a company should be responsible for the error and make good on it. its like snatching sale items out of my cart at the real clothing store and ripping the sale tag off, saying ooo!! that's not right ...sorry!

I take a considerable amount of offense to the implication being made here.

    1. The items I was interested in were ones that I would not buy at full price and were just a maybe at the Fast Grab price. This point of view has nothing to do with the effort involved or the implied value of the items. It has to do with how often I would use them.

    2. I spent a considerable amount of money on new items to reach the discount level I have. I shouldn't be begrudged / insulted for wanting to use it. Or make the most of it.

    3. It was a question so that I could avoid having to open a support ticket later, if it turned out to be a store glitch. Which happen quite often. Asking these questions is necessary because the discount structure is hidden in the workings of the site. So it is impossible to see when things are working correctly or not.

Well, it seems the following has been added to the Summer Savings advertising : "Discounts for this promotion cannot be applied towards membership purchases or Fast Grab items."
So I guess that clears up the fast grab issue: no more summer savings discounts on fast grab.
I do think it would be helpful (and only fair) to have a specific end date and time for the Summer Savings promotion though. I've heard "one month" bandied about on the forum, but to me, summer implies a season, and has different definitions to different people. It'd be bad PR to swipe it away without any prior notice.

It totally wipped out 3 of my product and I got very little to show for it. I'm totally shaddered that my stuff is so worthless that it can go for that price.

Honestly, I understand and sympathize, but nobody can blame a customer for wanting the best deal possible.

For PAs this is an issue that needs to be taken up with the multi-billion dollar DAZ Corp; it does seem somewhat inequitable that you are being made to shoulder the brunt of a sale which they implemented, and for which they are responsible for any flaws in the coding of the discounting.

I don't know what is going on then because I just picked up an annual membership for 17.50.

And just for the record, way back in 2009 (at least) I railed against these sales. In the old forum (and a couple of times in this one) I said that these "cutesy sales" were misguided and a mistake. (If the archive of the old forum was available...)

No one wanted to hear it. And on more than one occasion I was told, offline, to stop talking about it.

So about three years ago I gave up and just took the motto "if you can't beat them, join them." And now I just make the most of when these sales come along.

    Cause...

I made it to the top level of the punch sale, so I have 50% off. I used the 10% off on Gift Cards to buy a substantial amount of store credit. I also bought Victoria 7 on the first day, for additional future discounts.

    Effect...

This morning I purchased an Annual Platinum Club membership for $17.50 using above referenced Store Credit. $15.75 real charge.

Last night I purchased (among many others):
Alessa and Aloisia Fantasy Outfit Bundle ($29.95) for $4.19
Griffin War Bundle ($33.95) for $4.76
Moonlight Stroll Bundle ($39.95) for $5.59
Clan War Bundle ($40.95) for $5.74

The brass tacks is... Since making it to the 50% off tier (and purchasing that Gift Card) I have bought about $1,550 stock price items. For those I paid $375. That's about 76% off of everything.

If PAs have a problem with their items selling for below the perceived value / effort, then don't take it out on the customers. Do, however, bring it to DAZ's attention. As a customer I tried and gave up. Now instead of fighting the tide, I just roll with it.

Well I guess you're right it's the old saying "Never look a gift horse in the mouth" I would do the same !
