Very Frustrated DAZ Studio has become so Sluggish it is unusable

Over the last few months DAZ Studio has become more and more sluggish until now It takes literally a minute to change cameras, or light strengths or any changes at all. Some times it freezes up totally and dosent operate and the screen turns white. Im on a computer less than a year old and DAZ previously worked spectacular on it.

The computer is a AMD Ryzen 3 3200G 32 GB RAm and a geoforce RTX 2060.and as I said it USED to work spectacularly.

I have reinstalled DAZ, condensed databases and always have the newest NVDiA Drivers.

ANY HELP PLEASE

    D/S closed, find the cache folder and empty the data folder. {C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\dson\cache\data}

    Open D/S, open the log file, select all and delete the information. Save the file and close that file. Close D/S. Open D/S.

    Load the scene, cameras, etc. When it goes sluggish, find the log file, copy all the info and save it to a .txt file. That can be attached to your post so those that know how to read them can hopefully see what's going on.

  • Thank You.

    It seems I had a series of saved files that have somehow become corrupt.
    Loading other saved files Daz behaves more normal.

    I had no idea this was even possilble

  • Great :-)

    Yeah, unfortunately that's just one of those things that can happen with anything concerning computers.

    If a saved scene file was corrupt, it probably wouldn't load at all.

    I would of thought so, too but I hae been working all evening with files I havent worked with in a month or two and DAZ is running pretty much normal.
